The short version
- You are welcome to browse the site and contact us about a project.
- Please do not copy our work, interfere with the site or use it unlawfully.
- Website content is general information, not professional advice or a promise that we will enter into a project.
- If we work together, a separate written agreement will set out the scope, price, timings and responsibilities.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you visit or use obionsystems.com (the “site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it.
The site is operated by Obion Ltd (“OBION”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales. You can contact us at hello@obionsystems.com.
These are website-use terms. They do not govern software development, consulting, support or other services we may provide to a client. Those services will be covered by a separate written agreement.
2. Using the site
You may use the site for lawful purposes, including learning about OBION and deciding whether to contact us. You are responsible for making sure that anyone who accesses the site through your connection understands these terms.
The site is designed mainly for organisations and people acting in a business capacity. If you use it as a consumer, nothing in these terms removes rights the law gives you.
3. Enquiries, proposals and projects
Sending an enquiry does not create a client relationship or make either of us responsible for starting a project. It is simply the beginning of a conversation.
A project only becomes binding when the relevant parties agree written terms. Those terms may cover scope, fees, delivery, intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection, support and liability.
Please do not send passwords, access keys, live customer data or other highly sensitive information in an initial enquiry. If we need secure access or confidential material later, we will agree an appropriate way to share it.
4. Information on the site
We work to keep the site useful and accurate, but its content is general information. It is not legal, financial, security or other professional advice, and it may not reflect your particular systems or circumstances.
Service descriptions, examples and visuals explain the kinds of work OBION can do. They are not a fixed specification, quote, guarantee of availability or promise of a particular result. Please speak with us before relying on site content for an important business or technical decision.
5. Our work, content and trade marks
Unless we say otherwise, OBION or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the site and its content, including text, design, graphics, software, animations, brand features and the OBION name.
You may view the site, print a reasonable number of pages for internal reference and share links to public pages. You must not, without written permission:
- copy, republish, sell or commercially exploit a substantial part of the site;
- remove ownership notices or suggest that OBION endorses you;
- use our name, brand or content in a misleading way; or
- frame, mirror or reproduce the site to create a competing service or misleading copy.
Product names, logos or images belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Third-party links and services
The site may link to products, partners, social platforms or other websites run by third parties. We provide these links for context and convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their availability, content, security or privacy practices.
A link does not automatically mean we endorse everything on the destination site. Please review the third party’s own terms and privacy information before using its service.
7. Security and acceptable use
You must not knowingly:
- use the site in a way that breaks a law or another person’s rights;
- introduce malware, harmful code or material intended to damage or disrupt systems;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or connected systems;
- overload, probe, scrape or test the site in a way that harms its operation or other visitors; or
- misuse the site to send spam, impersonate someone or collect information unlawfully.
You may report a suspected vulnerability privately to hello@obionsystems.com. Please give us a reasonable chance to investigate before publishing details.
8. Availability and changes to the site
The site is provided without charge. We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free from faults. Maintenance, provider outages and events outside our reasonable control can interrupt access.
We may change site content as our services and products develop. Older references may become out of date, and we are not required to keep every page or feature available.
9. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
If you use the site for business
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied conditions, warranties and representations that may apply to the site. We will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings or data arising from use of, or inability to use, this free public site.
If you use the site as a consumer
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses or for loss or damage that was not foreseeable. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10. Your privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information and use browser storage when you visit the site or contact us.
11. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the site, our business or the law. The effective date at the top tells you when this version began to apply. Please check this page from time to time.
If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not mean that right has been waived.
These terms and any non-contractual dispute connected with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you use the site for business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the part of the UK where you live.
If you have a question about these terms, email hello@obionsystems.com.
